In the developer community XPath is an important tool for addressing elements in XML documents in a structured way. Not so commonly used, but identical in approach is the JSON path syntax for JSON files. Leankoala can thus be used to check whether all important elements are present in a JSON document. For example, it could be used to monitor whether a date and status is always included in a web service response.
